New Year, New Horizons....

For a long time I've felt uneasy about the business of hosting with Airbnb and finally as the year 2021 drew to a close, they showed their true colours. Suffice to say, it's been heartwrenching to give up what was an effective business model but my soul and the ethos of what we do here is ultimately not for sale. So with no looking back, we're full steam ahead into the bright sunshine of direct booking!

Our cover & home page image this month is taken from the decking of Hof Hut onto a snow covered Yes Tor, Dartmoor- the 2nd highest point in the South West. We are windward facing so our weather is completely dictated by this Dartmoor Tor but sometimes there are clear, beautiful sunsets that bathe the landscape and catch your breath with their beauty.
